Thanksgiving was a great day! We went over to one  the American family's homes and wow what a great time. Sure Georgia is great, but when celebrating an American holiday its sure nice to be in first world housing and eating American food.

A great meme from my Canadian companion.

On Saturday, we did service of picking up trash at the Sheraton during a big convention meeting of an international Georgian women’s organization.  At the event, I met a woman from Brazil. She came up to us and said that she recognized us as missionaries. She had gone to Utah as an exchange student and her host family were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  I told her that my father had served his mission in Brazil.  We had a nice conversation and she said she would come to church on Sunday.

I totally don't have time now, so I'm hoping all is well. Christmas is coming up. We had great meetings that I'll talk about next time.

I'll mention one thing now.  I'm thankful for my pre-mission knowledge about various subjects.  When people are talking in Georgian about history, I can get the gist of the conversation because I know history well.  I can then write down the words I don't recognize so that I can learn those. In our meeting with “George” this week, I had a good understanding of the Kaizen methodology of productivity improvement so I was able to carry on an intelligent conversation with George.  In fact, George was so impressed that he wants to hire me. George doesn’t understand that isn’t an option for a missionary. One of George’s friends was at the meeting and she seemed much more interested in what the missionaries are all about.

Elder Lott sent me this photo of him teaching English in Armenia

Sister Gehring made a reindeer out of Jenga blocks

Pictures of me and Elder Nilsson with our newly decorated apartment.

The Christmas tree and ornaments were sent to me from mom.  She said more ornaments are coming from my sisters.  The missionary stocking was sent from Brother and Sister Watson.
